Shiva Aghababaei, born in 1972, is an experienced architect with a proven track record in architecture and interior design sectors. Her excellent and comprehensive knowledge of all phases of architectural and interior design has been the key factor in success of some iconic projects across the country. Her work includes design of large scale residential, hospitality, and commercial projects and besides her expertise in creative methods of using sustainable materials, she has an inclusive knowledge of all design and engineering disciplines enabling her to bring all aspects of design and construction under her lead.
In 2013 she was amongst the most successful and effective Iranian female architects introduced and appreciated by Architecture and Construction Magazine for her significant hospitality projects such as design and construction of a 500 room cluster hotel adjacent to Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKIA) under standards and requirements of Accor Group, which is first hotel operated by a European hospitality group in Iran within the past 4 decades.
Her approach to architecture is a combination of love, perfection, and creativity, which has been well presented in the name she chose for her company back in 1998; “Tarh Va Afarinesh” means “Design and Creation”. This approach is also signified in the company logo which is a combination of a nine-piece mandala and the word “Design” (in Persian).
Her professionalism has been reflected in the international architecture and design circles being awarded by numerous international design and architecture events such as SBID Design Excellence Awards, IDA Design Awards, A’ Design Awards, International Hotel & Property Awards, etc.
Recently, she received the “UK Construction Role Model” title by the UK Construction Week 2019 organizer, and her newly developed concept for SHIMRAH Pedestrian Streets was presented in Innovation Zone of the same event.
